What? Yeah, the title makes no sense, but oh, well... You have to have one.

Well, I've taken my leave for a while from 3D. Unfortunately, I don't have any ideas, plans, etc to keep going with it. So, everything will be spotty at best. If I get an idea for a model I might make it. (Computer permitting. Hopefully, not overheating.)

But 3D I haven't had the real drive or want to do anything with for a while. I come back to things, though. I might come back to 3D also. But for right now having a crappy computer is going to put a damper on that. And since 3D is graphics intensive it takes a long time to make something since I have to deal with the computer lagging when I turn the camera on a huge poly model.

*sighs*

And so I went back to Second Life again. But only to find that if I go to the ground level and turn a 360 my computer crashes. *laughs* Karma... So, I have to stay up in a box when I'm doing anything. But it's not like I do much when I'm there. Mostly it's mindless things like scripting (the scripting language is stupid and I am dumber for knowing how it works...), occasionally uploading animations, or just doing customer service work. Which all in and of themselves aren't close to being fun. *sighs* But it's work and work isn't supposed to be fun.

So, what then?

That's the thing... I'm going back to programming... Finally after a long time I will be returning to my roots. My entire life I've been programming (starting with BASIC on a Commodore 64.) and moving on to C, C++, C#(C sharp), Flash action scripting, Visual Basic, etc... Etc... Etc...

But right now I'm starting smaller... Mostly going back to PHP code along with MYSQL. Mostly, because I've found that even though the market is flooded with web designers there is still a significant lack of competent programmers out there. Not saying there are none, but ones who understand more then 1 programming language at a time are few and far between.

So, now my idea is to just develop php, asp, and jsp software that can be easily linked in to web designers websites. What? Well, for an example... Someone creates a website, makes it look pretty, does the most basic of stuff... But then the person who bought the site wants more functionality. This is where I come in. *laughs* I'm just going to release probably a ton of software I created a long time ago, and some new ones. I've been trolling through freelance websites and found that there are a lot of people looking for certain scripts. *laughs* Scripts that would be easy to make. Yeah, I can put up my bid for the job, or I can turn around and just sell the script, and just have to handle customer service. (Which isn't hard. It's more of a pain to get someone to tell you what they want.)

But anyhow... I'm rambling... But 3D isn't something I'm going to pick back up for a while since my computer hates it. (Glorified word processor that it is.) So, it's time to return to basics and then maybe come back eventually. I don't know...

*laughs* Sounds horrible, but ah, well... It's just that I haven't had the drive to do art or the computer that could handle it for a while now...
